Camp throw-down by Miles attracts major attention on YouTube
The last day of each session at Duke Basketball camp typically includes a dunk contest with our players and any camp coaches with impressive hops. Miles Plumlee has dominated the contests since arriving on campus and his specialty slam involves jumping over people. As you can see below, Miles not only can clear the top of pint-sized campers, but also his 6’10″ brother Mason. The first video below has become an Internet sensation, making the front page of Yahoo, getting mentioned on ESPN.com and also getting embedded on a Yahoo sports blog. To date, the video has been viewed 1,613,398 times!

And, last but not least, you may remember the camp dunk contest we filmed in 2009 (embedded below). Not surprisingly, Miles wowed the campers, jumped over humans before dunking, and won the contest. Anyway, since you are reading this on DukeBluePlanet.com, you probably already knew what over a million others recently found out: Miles Plumlee has world-class athleticism and can run/jump at an extraordinary level unlike most men who stand 6’10″ or taller.
