February 7, 2010

Two questions… First correct response to each wins a tee-shirt…

1. Guest question supplied by Kyle Singler and Casey Peters: Name the high school mascots at Kyle and Casey’s respective high schools? (Panthers and Bucs)… Winner: @kim_asterisk

2. Kyle Singler hit eight 3’s against Georgia Tech on Thursday, one shy of the all-time Duke record for 3’s in a game.  Which players share that record of nine 3’s made in a single game? (JJ Redick vs. Texas and Shane Battier vs. Princeton)… Winner: @haleybobz

January 25, 2010

Two trivia questions with a tee-shirt for the fastest correct responses…

1.  How many career 2,000-point scorers has Duke had and name four of them? (NCAA-record nine 2,000-point scorers… Redick, Dawkins, Laettner, Gminski, Ferry, Alarie, Banks, J. Williams, Spanarkel)  Winner: @taburkland

For this week’s contest, we asked the Duke tweeps to predict the score of our December 31st game against Penn.  The closest prediction would win a tee-shirt and if anyone was exactly correct they would win a signed ball.  The Blue Devils won 114-55 and most of our DBP followers weren’t predicting quite such a lopsided margin (closest prediction came within 10 points).  Our winners were: @dukegirl711, @therealsellars, @TylerRicketts, @crystaltao, and @matrix1686.

December 27, 2009

Fastest correct response to this week’s question won a tee-shirt…

December 19, 2009

This week’s contest favored those in attendance at our game vs. Gonzaga at Madison Square Garden.  The first person who successfully tweeted the message on the Blue Devil’s head would win a signed team poster.  The Devil’s message was “HOME AWAY FROM HOME” and the winner was @dmblaxgurl2515.  We also sent a signed poster to @rawrmel because we enjoyed her poster.
