Blue Devil pregame antics adding excitement and fun on gameday

Our players have their own unique pre-game routines.  Some of the guys like to listen to specific songs on their iPod.  Others enjoy a pre-game nap before heading to Cameron to get taped up and stretch.  This year, the Blue Devil has unveiled his own pre-game routine where he heads to campus to generate some excitement for the game, hand out free tickets, “interact” with students and Duke employees, dance, pose for photos, make surprise visits to unsuspecting classrooms and offices, and cruise around on his golf cart (thanks to the Washington Duke Golf Club for loaning us the cart!).

In preparation for Saturday’s game against Radford, the Devil headed to campus Friday to pass out free tickets to employees while offering complementary team posters as well.  Additionally, he made surprise visits to the Allen Building, Bryan Center, and Faculty Commons, making friends and smiles at every stop.

Keep an eye out on campus before every home game (while school is in session) for the Blue Devil and other basketball-related themes as we hope to add even more fun and excitement to gameday.   Expect the unexpected as we bring the random entertaining spontaneity the Crazies are known for to campus!
