Senior Greg Paulus earned CoSIDA Academic All-America recognition for the second straight year on Wednesday. The New York native boasts a 3.35 GPA at Duke while majoring in political science and pursuing a certificate in markets and management. The guard is Duke’s 10th all-time player to earn Academic All-America recognition and the NCAA-best fifth Blue Devil selection since the 1997-98 season. One of only two selections this year from a major conference school, Greg joins Shane Battier as the second two-time Academic All-America choice in the Coach K era.
In order to be nominated for Academic All-America recognition, the student-athlete must be a starter or key reserve with a cumulative career GPA of at least 3.3. All nominees must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing, and honorees are chosen by a CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) panel.
Congrats GP!
